June 15th, 2008
Galvin, Chris and I met up with actors John San Nicolas and Illya
Torres-Garner and shot scene 21 today. It was a bit of a stop and
go experience because my computer was a bit underpowered for
efficient P2 card download. We will have to look into upgrading my
machine to improve its performance. Other than the technical
aspects of the shoot, it went very smoothly. Both actors knew the
scene and they gave us take after take of good stuff...now Chris
just has to wade through it all and pick the gold baby! I have a
rehearsal set with Marcella and Jonathan later this week in
preparation of our shoot on Saturday. I am excited to see what we
can pull from this pair.

We had a marathon day today shooting for 13 hours. We were in
our stride today. Technical issues solved we were a well oiled
machine. The actors today (Marcella Laash, and John Ashley Hall)
rocked too. They knew their dialogue so well it was just a matter of
pointing the camera at them and calling action. We shot a few of
the more difficult emotional and physical scenes today. Marcella
and John both had to strip down to their underwear and make out in
front of 7 strangers but they dis awesome and the scenes looked
great. We have a couple weeks now before we shoot again, and
we are making last minute acquisitions of equipment and locations.
After today though, I can hardly stand to wait...I want to shoot
more!!!!

The cast got together today for a promo photo shoot. We are
paying homage' (ripping off) the great John Hughes by recreating
some of his classic teen-angst film posters. All the actors put on
80's garb and struck a pose for Bianca. I am excited to see the
final proofs on Monday....then we can create the poster and spread
the word!!
